Ibn Haldun University has shared its 2026–2029 Strategic Plan with the public, setting out the strategic direction that will guide the University over the next four years. Developed through a participatory approach and data-driven analyses, the plan outlines the University’s priorities in education and training, research, social contribution, institutional governance, and internationalization, while further strengthening its vision of becoming a center of excellence in the social sciences and humanities at the global level.
The strategic planning process was officially launched with the Rectorate’s letter dated July 9, 2025. Throughout the process, vision and strategy workshops were organized with the participation of academic and administrative staff. The views of students, alumni, external stakeholders, and other relevant parties were also gathered through surveys and focus group studies, contributing to the development of the plan. Shaped by the data obtained throughout this process, the plan was prepared as a comprehensive framework that identifies the University’s institutional priorities with the contributions of its stakeholders.
The 2026–2029 Strategic Plan was developed in line with the University’s new vision, which brings its civilization-rooted approach together with universal academic knowledge and the transformative opportunities offered by the age of artificial intelligence. Accordingly, the University’s mission has been defined as producing knowledge by integrating its distinctive and comparative approach to education and training with innovative learning and research models, contributing to social development, and assuming a leading role in shaping the future.
The plan is structured around five strategic covering the University’s key areas of development.
Developing ethical, virtuous, and highly qualified human resources who will shape the future through learning and teaching processes enhanced by innovative methods, digital applications, and artificial intelligence technologies, while supporting advancement through academic career pathways and continuous professional development programs.
Producing globally influential knowledge that prioritizes people, society, and justice through interdisciplinary research in the social sciences and humanities, with a focus on continuity and the social, economic, and political transformations brought about by artificial intelligence.
Addressing major societal challenges, from local needs to global issues, in collaboration with stakeholders; providing services that lead and empower society; and contributing to sustainable development.
Achieving high-quality institutional development and increasing institutional visibility through a transparent, innovative, fair, and sustainable governance approach, supported by a strong human resources structure and sustainable financial framework that adapts to digital transformation and makes effective use of artificial intelligence.
Strengthening the University’s international visibility, capacity for impact, and sustainable global partnerships through joint programs, projects, publications, and academic networks in the fields of education, research, and community engagement.
As with the 2022–2025 Strategic Plan, the implementation and monitoring of the plan will be carried out through the Strategic Management Module within the Institutional Management Information System. Performance indicators related to the established targets will be monitored regularly each year, and the results will be evaluated to make the necessary updates in line with the principle of continuous improvement.
