Turkish Higher Education Quality Council's "Institutional External Evaluation Program", in which the quality assurance system, learning and teaching, research and development, service to society, and management system processes of higher education institutions are evaluated within the scope of institutional external evaluation criteria, took place between August 2, 2021, and September 7, 2021, at our university.
The Evaluation Team, which will work within the scope of the Institutional External Evaluation Program, was formed by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC) from the following names:
The administrative Processes and the Quality Assurance System of Our University Were Evaluated
Within the framework of the visit schedule determined by the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (THEQC), a preliminary visit (online) and field meeting (online and face-to-face) were planned under Covid-19 measures.
Online visits on August 2, 2021; together with the head of the evaluator team and team members, participation of our President Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, our Vice President, our Secretary General, our Deputy Secretary Generals, and members of the Quality Commission were held on.
Within the scope of the visits organized via video conference on 23-24 August 2021, the members of the Evaluation Team primarily heard about the administrative management and quality assurance system of the institution from the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. İrfan Gündüz. Then, extensive meetings were held with the members of our University's Quality Commission, University Board of Management, Senate members, School of Law Dean and Deputy Deans, School of Humanities and Social Sciences Deans and Deputy Deans, Faculty Secretariat, School of Graduate Studies, Alliance of Civilizations Institute Managers and Secretaries, Administrative Staff Managers, Heads of Research Centers and the stakeholders of our University.
Face-to-face field visits on 6 September 2021, were completed with the visit of the Institutional External Evaluation team to the Ibn Haldun Complex, and the meetings in which academic staff, undergraduate and graduate students, and administrative staff participated.

The "Exit Statement", which is prepared by the evaluation team at the end of the Institutional External Evaluation Program, was presented by the head of the team, Prof. Dr. Ercan Öztemel, on September 7, 2021, at the exit meeting which our President, Vice President, Secretary General and academic and administrative representatives of our University have attended. In the Exit Statement presentation, the strengths of our University identified throughout the program and areas open for improvement were discussed and suggestions were shared.
It is expressed by the head of the Evaluation Team Prof. Dr. Ercan Öztemel that the willingness of the administration of the University for Quality Assurance System and the beliefs and support of the University members expressed in the Institutional External Evaluation drew the attention of the Evaluation Team.
Institutional External Evaluation Program ended with our President Prof. Dr. Attila Arkan's thanks, primarily to the Higher Education Quality Council which contributed to the Institutional External Evaluation Program, which is an important step within the scope of our university's quality assurance studies, then to each of the esteemed members of the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council Evaluation Team and our University members.
